Dear Wondrous Bloom Community,
As we step into the promising embrace of 2024, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey that has brought us together. The past year has been marked by growth, challenges, and profound lessons, and it’s with excitement that I share some significant changes and plans for the future of The Wondrous Bloom Homestead.
In the spring of 2023, I made the decision to part ways with my first blog, The Traditional Housewife. While it was a diverse collection of content, I felt a longing for a more focused purpose. This experience ignited a passion within me — a desire to guide individuals on a journey of faith, self-sufficiency, and embracing the principles of a Proverbs 31 lifestyle.
Responding to this calling, I created a Facebook group, “Working Together Towards Becoming A Proverbs 31 Woman” The response has been heartening with join requests coming in throughout the year. It’s evident that there’s a shared yearning for a deeper connection to the Bible, the land, and God.
Listening to directions of God has been putting on my heart, I find myself guided back to the essentials — sprouts, microgreens, and homemade foods. In this spirit, I am thrilled to announce the evolution of The Wondrous Bloom Homestead. This blog will now embrace both the Christian Lifestyle and Homesteading realms, creating a harmonious space where we can explore faith, homemaking, and sustainable living.
Embracing New Ideas:
As we embark on this journey, I’m excited to introduce some ideas that have been stirring in my heart. One of the categories I’m enthusiastic about is “Faith & Reflections,” where we’ll delve into biblical insights, personal stories, and reflections on living a life of worship. Another category close to my heart is “Homemaking,” offering step-by-step guides for practical homemaking projects, tips for creating a warm and welcoming home, and strategies for effective household budgeting.
“Sustainable Living” is a category that aligns with our Christian lifestyle, featuring gardening and farming tips rooted in biblical principles. Get ready for DIY sustainable living projects that promote eco-friendly practices.
Our journey wouldn’t be complete without the delightful touch of “Recipes.” From sourdough baking tips to farmhouse-inspired culinary creations, we’ll celebrate the joy of preparing and sharing meals.
Cultivating More than Words:
In addition to our shared journey through words, I have had the joy of offering Microgreens and occasionally baked goods under The Wondrous Bloom Homestead brand. While these offerings are currently on pause, I eagerly anticipate reconnecting with local patrons. Balancing this with my other business – a marketing agency – is a priority, ensuring the reintroduction happens organically in order to prevent burnout.
Your continued support means the world to me as we embark on this multifaceted exciting journey together. I would love to hear your thoughts! Share your ideas, suggestions, or what you are most looking forward to in the comments below. Let’s make this a conversation, and thank you for being an integral part of The Wondrous Bloom Homestead community.
Here’s to a year of growth, faith, embracing the beauty of a purposeful life, and perhaps a taste of the goodness that The Wondrous Bloom Homestead has to offer.
Thank you for being part of The Wondrous Bloom Homestead community.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
